CivilandScape has recently created an opening for an experienced and qualified landscape and civil works Estimator. The successful candidate will be working from our Rozelle Head Office and will be working on a diverse range of projects from high end residential to high-rise city centre commercial projects. CivilandScape are looking for a knowledgeable, well presented and diligent applicant to immediately join our team.

PREREQUISITES

The candidate must fulfill the following prerequisites to be able to apply for this position:

  • Must have industry knowledge and experience (Construction, Civil and Landscaping Estimators experience). Minimum 2 years’ fulltime experience
  • Related tertiary education and qualification
  • Familiar with Construction / Civil & Landscape industry standards and methodologies
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Have good written and computing skills
  • Current White Card NSW

THE ROLE

The role generally requires the candidate to be someone who:

  • Present well in their attire and manner particularly when liaising with clients and in front of the general public
  • Operates efficiently, diligently and who can work independently as well as in a team

As an Estimator you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Assist and work collaboratively with the Managing Director, General Manager and Project Manager of the company
  • Search, track, monitor and maintain tenders including tender requests, live tender, expressions of interest and project prospects
  • Review, interpret and analyse technical drawings, scope of works, specifications, reports and the like
  • Complete detailed plan take-offs, bill of quantities and project costs
  • Identify and illustrate project requests for information, clarification, risk analysis, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions
  • Prepare detailed tender submissions for management review and sign off
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to ensure pricing remains competitive

You may also be required to complete or assist in:

  • Build preferred supplier and subcontractor list in conjunction with the Project Team
  • Monitor and analysing market pricing and client feedback for the purpose of identifying the company’s competitiveness and position in the market
  • Assist in market analysis and identifying opportunity for new work and new sources of cashflow and income
  • Reporting including statical reporting against company KPI’s
  • Assist the General Manager in building company processes and procedures within your department

ROLE OFFER

  • Working hours are generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm from Monday to Friday (5 DAY WEEK)
  • Annual salary based on experience
